You can fire an adjuster at any time but that does not relieve you of the terms of the contract retainer you signed. Untill you can get him to mutualy sign a termination letter he or she are still entitled to their precious fee. Sounds like you need to file a formal complaint to the state if he is liscensed and notify the local organiztion of public adjusters in your area for further assistance. Your state might have laws regarding the ethical behavior of public adjusters as they do in fL. Its always easier to try and work something out before the notion of litigation.
